Wanzhi Group entered into an export partnership with a South African buyer of construction hardware to supply hot-dip galvanized wire. To meet local demand for infrastructure and fencing projects, the customer purchased a total of 52 metric tons of hot-dip galvanized wire in various specifications, packed into two 20-foot containers.
The 52 metric tons of galvanized steel wire comprised four wire diameter specifications, with delivery terms of CIF Durban and a lead time of 10–20 days. Given the long shipping distance and high humidity typical of the South African route, a customized, precision packaging solution was developed to ensure product quality upon arrival.
Customer Requirements
- Mixed Specifications: The order includes four wire diameters—1.8 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, and 3.15 mm—with varying quantities for each specification.
- Zinc Coating and Tensile Strength: Zinc coating weight ≥60 g/m², tensile strength <500 MPa, balancing corrosion resistance with flexibility during installation.
- Protection for Long-Distance Shipping: The sea voyage from China to South Africa is long and characterized by high humidity, so measures are needed to prevent the wire coils from becoming damp and oxidizing.
- Samples First: A 200 kg sample of the 4 mm specification must be provided for testing and confirmation prior to the bulk shipment.
- Tight Delivery Schedule: Delivery must be completed within 10–20 days.

Sample Arrangements
The customer requested that we first provide a 200 kg sample with 4 mm galvanized wire for internal testing. We prepared the sample within three business days and shipped it via international express to ensure the customer could complete verification before mass production began.
