A well-known Chilean manufacturer of architectural hardware once fell victim to severe supplier fraud after seeking to purchase aluminum-zinc-coated coils at a low price: only 70 metric tons were delivered out of the agreed-upon 200 metric tons, the nominal coating thickness was significantly reduced, and the products rusted rapidly, leading to inventory buildup and damage to the brand’s reputation.
After conducting an on-site inspection of our aluminum-zinc-coated steel coil(gl coil) production line, the client highly recognized our manufacturing capabilities and quality control system. Ultimately, we secured a 100-metric-ton order for AZ150 aluminum-zinc-coated coils (0.5 × 1000 mm), thereby reestablishing a reliable supply chain.

Based in Chile, this client is a medium-sized manufacturer of architectural hardware products. The company specializes in metal products for construction, including roofing tiles, light-gauge steel studs, and hardware fittings, supplying the domestic Chilean construction market as well as neighboring South American countries.

The Customer’s Previous Purchasing Experience
In 2023, the customer purchased approximately 200 metric tons of aluminum-zinc-coated steel coils at an FOB price of approximately US$630 per metric ton. This quote was significantly below the normal market value for the product, but the low price ultimately did not provide the customer with any real cost advantage.
During the actual delivery process, the customer ultimately received only about 70 metric tons of product, and the coating specification of the product received was only AZ30, which differed significantly from the customer’s actual requirements.
Due to the insufficient coating weight, the product experienced rapid rusting during subsequent storage and sales. As of this re-purchase, the customer had still not fully sold the batch of products from the previous purchase.

The client toured our hot-dip galvanized-aluminum steel coil production line and conducted an on-site inspection of the actual production processes, equipment, and factory facilities. During the visit, the client reviewed the following:
- Production Equipment: Verified the automation level and process stability of the continuous hot-dip galvanized-aluminum production line;
- Raw Material Control: Substrate procurement standards and incoming inspection procedures;
- Coating Control: In-line coating monitoring systems and laboratory testing capabilities;
- Warehousing and Logistics: Finished product protection, packaging standards, and export container loading specifications.
Through on-site observation of production line operations, random inspections of finished product quality, and in-depth discussions with our technical and quality control teams, the client developed a clear and profound appreciation for our factory’s manufacturing capabilities.
