Our matte steel coils include matte PPGI steel coils and matte PPGL steel coils. With their soft, understated surfaces, matte steel coils are becoming increasingly popular in the market. They are particularly well-suited for products that require a specific surface texture, scratch resistance, and architectural decorative effects.
Ensure product quality and transportation
The matte finish on the surface of color-coated steel coils is achieved by adding a matting agent. The gloss level of matte color-coated steel ranges from 25° to 45° GU. Matte surfaces are more resistant to dirt and wear than high-gloss color-coated steel, and fingerprints are less noticeable on them, making them very popular in the home appliance and construction industries.

Benefits of Using Matte Steel Coils
- More Comfortable for Large-Area Applications: On large surfaces such as building facades, roofs, and ceilings, glossy steel sheets can cause severe glare on sunny days, whereas a matte finish offers a softer sheen.
- Resistant to dirt; fingerprints and scratches are less noticeable: The matte finish has a subtle texture, so dust and fingerprints blend in with the texture and are virtually unnoticeable unless viewed up close. Scratches on a matte surface are also less visible.
- Colors resist fading: The matting agents in the matte coating provide some UV resistance, and because the low-gloss surface reflects less light, the coating ages at a relatively slower rate.
