RAL 9016 Color Steel Coils
Our RAL 9016 color-coated steel coils are manufactured using galvanized steel coil or aluzinc steel coils as the base material. They are produced on a continuous coating line, where a primer and topcoat are roller-applied to the surface before the material is wound into finished coils. Upon receipt, customers can feed them directly into a profiling machine to produce roofing panels or wall panels, or flatten them to use as faces for sandwich panels—without the need for any further surface treatment.
Ensure product quality and transportation
RAL 9016 color-coated steel coils are pre-coated steel coils with a RAL 9016 Traffic White coating. The color is a cool-toned pure white, bright and clean, suitable for building envelopes, appliance casings, interior panels, door panels, and other metal products requiring a uniform white appearance.

What are the Applications for RAL 9016 Color-coated Steel Coils?
- Building Roofing: RAL 9016 can be used to manufacture color-coated roofing panels, corrugated sheets, and other building envelope products.
- Building Walls: The bright white color of RAL 9016 is suitable for wall panels, the outer steel layer of sandwich panels, and building envelope systems.
- Home appliances: RAL 9016 can also be used for the housings and panels of home appliances, such as refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, air conditioners, appliance cabinets, and small appliance housings.
- Door Panels: RAL 9016 can be used to manufacture metal doors, interior door panels, industrial doors, warehouse doors, and security door panels. If the product requires bending, punching, or edge rolling, the steel’s processing performance needs to be confirmed in advance.
Note: The requirements for steel for home appliance applications differ from those for building applications. If stamping, bending, or stretching is required, the appropriate base material grade needs to be selected based on the part’s structure. Please consult us for specific selection of the appropriate steel grade.
How to Choose the Substrate and Coating for Color Steel Coils
Choosing the right substrate and coating can not only save costs but also extend the lifespan of your project.
Ordinary factories, warehouses, and inland areas
In these environments, a hot-dip galvanized substrate with a zinc coating of Z30-Z100 and a polyester (PE) topcoat is sufficient. If your budget is limited, Z30 is a good option.
Coastal areas, near chemical plants, and high-humidity, high-temperature environments
In corrosive environments, choose a substrate with at least a Z180 zinc coating, or an aluminum-zinc coated substrate of AZ150. Aluminum-zinc coating offers better corrosion resistance than hot-dip galvanized coating for the same weight, but this requires edge sealing at the cut surfaces to prevent rusting.
Fluorocarbon paint (PVDF) or polyester paint (PE)?
PE paint is cheaper and offers more color options. For ordinary inland buildings, it should last 8-10 years without major issues. PVDF has strong weather resistance, slow chalking under ultraviolet radiation, and high color gloss retention. It is used in coastal areas and projects with high appearance requirements. The price is 30%-50% higher than PE. Don’t listen to people who say “PVDF is definitely better than PE”. Using PVDF in dry inland areas is a waste of money. PE is perfectly adequate.
