PE Color Coated Steel
PE color-coated steel refers to steel sheets that are first coated with a base layer and then roll-coated with a polyester (PE) topcoat. The substrate can be cold-rolled steel, hot-dip galvanized steel (PPGI), or aluminum-zinc-coated steel (PPGL). The standard process involves two coats and two bakes, and the film thickness and gloss can be adjusted according to customer requirements.
Ensure product quality and transportation
The PE coating is the most established and economical coating option for color-coated steel sheets. The general structure, from the inside out, is: substrate → surface chemical treatment → primer → polyester topcoat → backcoat. If your application environment involves high humidity, high temperatures, or coastal areas, we recommend using HDP or PVDF color-coated steel.
