How Did We Get This Customer?
The order came from a wire wholesaler in Buenos Aires, Argentina, that has been deeply rooted in the local market for over a decade, primarily supplying wire for fencing, agricultural, and construction applications. In the past, they sourced most of their products from other countries, but the customer wanted to add a stable Chinese supplier to their portfolio to spread out supply risks, so they reached out to our company.
The client initially left a message on the galvanized steel wire page of our website, asking if we could produce 1.8mm soft galvanized wire with a tensile strength below 460–490 MPa. Upon receiving the inquiry, we promptly contacted the client. The client also specifically requested that each coil be marked with “start” and “end” indicators.

“Start and End Markers”
In Argentina, this shipment is used for ranch fencing and vineyard trellises. Since each roll must be used continuously from start to finish, clearly marking the beginning and end ensures that workers on-site don’t waste time searching for the ends of the wire.
We apply the “Start and End Markers” for this batch directly to each coil of wire: a green tag printed with “START” is attached to the beginning, and a red tag printed with “END” is attached to the end. The tags are threaded directly onto the wire and remain in place as the coil is moved—through the workshop, loaded into containers, and shipped by sea—ensuring they won’t fall off at any stage.
We’ve deliberately used different colors rather than just printing a few letters. Workers on-site can clearly see which end to start from a few steps away, eliminating the need to get up close and flip through the coil to find the end. This is especially true for the 600-kilogram bundles of soft wire—by identifying the start and end at a glance, whether feeding the wire into a machine or unwinding it manually, you can pull the correct end on the first try, preventing tangles and material waste.
Production and Quality Control
Soft (annealed) galvanized wire has low strength requirements; the challenge lies in ensuring uniform annealing and a consistent galvanized coating. Our technical staff employs segmented temperature control to prevent some sections from being too soft and others too hard. Before shipment, each coil undergoes random sampling to test tensile strength and elongation, and the galvanized coating is verified according to contract specifications.

The 24 metric tons are distributed across several dozen coils, each of which is weighed individually. Coil weight is generally maintained at around 600 kg, and any excess or shortage is clearly recorded to facilitate quantity verification during the customer’s receipt and customs clearance.
Customer Feedback
We took photos and videos during the loading process, including close-ups of the markings on each roll, records of each roll’s weight, and footage of the cargo being secured inside the container. After sending these documents to the client, they replied that they were very satisfied and said they were looking forward to receiving the actual shipment.
