This Argentine client was referred to us by one of our long-standing customers. We made contact with the client on December 16, 2025. After further discussion, we learned that the client is a small-to-medium-sized manufacturing company based in Argentina, primarily engaged in:
- Production of galvanized guardrails
- Manufacture of barbed wire
- Steel wire processing
- Supplying materials for local engineering projects
Since the products are used in outdoor environments over extended periods, the client has high requirements regarding the corrosion resistance of galvanized steel wire, the stability of the zinc coating, and the protective capabilities of the packaging.
Customer Requirement
The customer initially inquired about both galvanized steel strip and galvanized steel wire products.
Galvanized Steel Strip Requirements
- Zinc coating: 60 g/m²
- Thickness: 0.35 mm
- Width: 71 mm
- Steel grade: DX51D
Galvanized Wire Requirement
- Wire diameter: 1.6 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.15 mm
- Tensile strength: Below 500 MPa
- Zinc coating: 60 g/m²
Since the customer was still confirming project requirements at the time, the purchase quantity had not yet been finalized.

Communication Process and Solution
During the quotation phase, the customer raised an important issue:
Due to the limited load capacity of their processing equipment, they were unable to use steel coils packaged in excessively large units.
Customer Feedback: A 5-metric-ton package was too heavy for their machinery.
After understanding the customer’s actual production conditions, we promptly explained:
- The 5-metric-ton figure refers to the total package weight, not the weight of a single coil.
- Actual Packaging Method:
- Each steel wire coil weighs approximately 350 kg.
- Multiple coils are packaged together.
- The total package weight is approximately 5 metric tons.
By providing a detailed explanation of the packaging structure, we addressed the customer’s concerns regarding compatibility with their production equipment.
