Project Overview

The client is a local contractor in Jakarta specializing in steel structure engineering. They contacted us through our website to request quotes for galvanized square and rectangular tubes.

The client is currently working on several factory and warehouse projects simultaneously; this shipment of steel materials was intended for one of their medium-sized industrial park projects. The entire order was shipped in four high-cube containers, with a total weight of approximately 104 metric tons. The process from the initial inquiry to contract signing took nearly three weeks, with the main focus of communication being the galvanized coating standards and surface treatment requirements.

Specifications and Weight Distribution

This shipment consists of three specifications. The 50×50 size is used most frequently, primarily for purlins and wall beams; the 50×75 size is used moderately, for secondary beams and reinforcing door and window openings; and the 100×100 size is used least frequently, for main columns and load-bearing frames. The distribution is based on the customer’s material list and actual construction ratios.

Container Loading Plan

A total of four 40-foot high-cube containers will be used, with each container limited to approximately 26 metric tons. During loading, heavier sizes will be placed at the bottom and lighter ones on top. Wooden blocks will be used between each layer to prevent slippage, and steel straps will be crisscrossed and tightened at the container doors. The specific allocation per container is as follows:

Trade Terms and Payment Methods

  • Trade Term: CIF
  • Payment Method: 30% TT advance payment + 70% TT balance paid in full prior to shipment
  • Shipping Responsibility: We will be responsible for booking space and arranging ocean freight after production is completed
  • Port of Destination: Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, Indonesia

The specific process is as follows: Order Confirmation → Payment of 30% Advance Payment → Production Arrangements → Finished Product Inspection → Completion of Packaging and Container Loading → Payment of 70% Balance → Shipping Arrangements
