Galvanized Steel For Appliance

As the home appliance industry evolves toward higher quality, lighter weight, and more attractive designs, galvanized steel has become one of the key base materials in modern home appliance manufacturing thanks to its excellent overall performance.

We supply a wide range of galvanized steel products, including coils, sheets, and strips, in a full range of specifications and sizes to meet the manufacturing needs of various home appliances.

Ensure product quality and transportation

Galvanized steel used in home appliances is typically “flower-free” galvanized steel, which features a uniform zinc coating, an attractive appearance, and excellent corrosion resistance. It can be used directly in home appliance products.

Applications of Galvanized Steel in the Home Appliance Industry

Galvanized steel used in home appliances is typically “flower-free” galvanized steel sheet. It is commonly used in the following home appliance components:

    • Refrigerator side panels (left and right), back panels, and internal structural components (brackets, bases).
    • Washing machine outer casings, rear cover panels, bases, and inner drum support structures.
    • Front and back panels of indoor air conditioner units, as well as outdoor unit bases and compressor bases.

Additionally, galvanized steel coils serve as the substrate for PCM coils, offering high decorative value and used for exterior panels on various home appliances.

Advantages of Galvanized Steel for Home Appliances

The zinc coating on galvanized steel used in home appliances is generally no less than 120 g/m² (Z30–Z275 g/m²). This zinc coating provides the following advantages:

    1. Higher rust resistance: Corrosion resistance primarily comes from the zinc coating on the surface; the thicker the coating, the stronger the corrosion resistance.
    2. Longer product lifespan: A thicker, more uniform, and denser zinc coating provides stronger resistance to corrosive environments, resulting in a longer lifespan.
    3. Superior formability: Since the substrate for galvanized steel used in home appliances must possess deep-drawing capabilities, this steel offers superior formability.

We supply GI Seel grades to the home appliance

Since the home appliance industry requires substrates with excellent stamping performance, material grades with deep-drawing capabilities are generally selected.

We Supply Types of Galvanized Steel for Home Appliances

Galvanized steel comes in different types, and different supply forms are suitable for different manufacturing processes, effectively improving material utilization and production efficiency.

    1. Coils: Galvanized steel coils are the most widely used supply form in home appliance manufacturing.
    2. Sheets: Galvanized steel sheets are typically produced by uncoiling and shearing steel coils and can be cut to dimensions specified by the customer.
    3. Strips: Galvanized steel strips are widely used in the manufacture of small structural components and fasteners for home appliances.

We operate galvanized steel coil production lines, fixed-length cutting lines, and precision slitting lines, enabling us to supply all of the above product types.
