Pre-painted galvanized steel sheets are manufactured from pre-painted galvanized steel coils (PPGL). These sheets are primarily available in two forms: pre-painted galvanized flat sheets and pre-painted galvanized corrugated sheets.

Considerations When Selecting Prepainted Galvalume Sheets
Usage Environment
- Different climatic conditions impose varying requirements on coatings. For standard indoor environments (such as home appliances and interior decoration), a polyester (PE) coating is recommended for its cost-effectiveness.
- Humid or mildly corrosive environments (such as livestock farms and coastal industrial facilities): High-durability polyester (HDP) is recommended for superior resistance to moisture and salt spray.
- Highly Corrosive or High UV Environments (e.g., chemical plants, high-altitude regions): Fluorocarbon (PVDF) coatings are recommended for their superior color retention and gloss retention.
Determine Substrate Thickness and Strength Appropriately
- Roofing and wall load-bearing structures: Substrate thickness of ≥0.5 mm and yield strength of ≥350 MPa are recommended.
- Appliance casings and decorative components: Thin sheets of 0.3–0.5 mm can be selected to balance formability and cost.
- Note: Excessively thin sheets are prone to deformation during processing or installation, while excessively thick sheets increase self-weight and cost.
