SGCC stands for Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Sheet as defined in the Japanese JIS G3302 standard. Its advantages as a base material for home appliance steel are as follows:

• Since home appliances are often exposed to humid environments, SGCC offers strong corrosion resistance, whereas cold-rolled steel (SPCC) has relatively weak corrosion resistance.
• The manufacturing process for home appliances involves extensive stamping, bending, and other forming operations, and SGCC base sheets offer good ductility.
• SGCC has high surface quality and strong coating adhesion, ensuring a firm bond with the surface film.
• Compared to stainless steel, aluminum sheet, and aluminum-zinc-coated steel sheet, SGCC offers significant cost advantages while meeting both corrosion resistance and processing requirements.
