Electrostatic Spraying Powder Color Coating Coil
Electrostatic spray-coated powder-coated coils are eco-friendly colored coated steel coils featuring superior acid and alkali resistance, strong weather resistance, and high functionality. Their performance significantly surpasses that of ordinary coated coils.
Ensure product quality and transportation
Electrostatically sprayed color-coated coils, also known as electrostatically powder-coated color-coated coils, are a new generation of environmentally friendly color-coated steel sheets. They use galvanized/aluminum-zinc-coated steel sheets as the substrate and employ a high-voltage electrostatic adhesion + high-temperature curing process to uniformly deposit and form solid polymer powder coatings.
The coating structure of electrostatic powder-coated coils comprises powder coating, chemical conversion layer, coating, cold-rolled substrate, coating, chemical conversion layer, and powder coating. The coating structure is as follows:

Production Process
- Substrate Pre-treatment: High-quality galvanized steel coils or aluminized zinc steel coils undergo rigorous degreasing, cleaning, and chemical pre-treatment to ensure surface cleanliness and enhance coating adhesion.
- Electrostatic Powder Coating: Advanced polymer powder coating equipment is employed. Utilizing a high-voltage electrostatic field, specially formulated solid powder coating is atomized through a spray gun. The powder particles become electrically charged and uniformly adhere to the substrate surface, achieving a single-pass film formation with controllable thickness.
- High-Temperature Curing: Powder-coated substrates enter curing ovens where they are baked at approximately 330°C (660°F). The powder melts and levels under heat, then undergoes chemical cross-linking to form a smooth, dense, and hard coating film.
- Cooling and Coiling: Cured sheets undergo air and water cooling before being coiled into finished products.

Advantages
- Environmentally Friendly & Zero Pollution: 100% solid powder coating with no solvent volatilization. Zero VOCs and formaldehyde throughout production and use, meeting green environmental standards.
- Ultra-High Film Thickness & Hardness: Achieves 50μm to 120μm film thickness in a single coating application, far exceeding traditional processes. The coating offers superior scratch resistance with surface hardness reaching up to 6H.
- Exceptional Corrosion Resistance & Acid/Alkali Tolerance: The dense, pinhole-free coating features high resin molecular weight, delivering acid/alkali and salt spray resistance 5–6 times greater than standard color-coated sheets, significantly extending service life.
- Superior Processability: Strong coating adhesion allows direct stamping, cutting, and bending without cracking or peeling, meeting demanding deep-processing requirements.
- Weather Resistance, Thermal Insulation, Fireproofing & Waterproofing: Resists aging and UV radiation while providing thermal insulation and fireproofing. Suitable for harsh environments like coastal areas, chemical plants, and high-temperature settings.
- Versatile Functionality: Powder formulations can be customized for specific applications (e.g., high weather resistance, stain resistance for appliances, antimicrobial properties), with flexible color and gloss options.

Applications
With its robust performance, electrostatic spray-coated color-coated steel sheets are widely used in demanding material applications:
- Large Public Buildings: Roofing, wall cladding, and interior systems for airport terminals, high-speed rail stations, sports stadiums, and convention centers.
- Highly Corrosive Industrial Environments: Acid rolling shops in steel mills, desulfurization and denitrification facilities in power plants, chemical plants, ceramic workshops, metal smelters, and food processing plants.
Specialized Custom Applications
- Steel Door Panels: Enhances production efficiency while improving corrosion resistance and impact durability.
- Appliance Panels: Used for refrigerator and washing machine exteriors, featuring high scratch resistance, detergent resistance, and stain resistance.
- Elevator Panels: Utilizes high-coating substrate and thick coating layers to effectively protect exposed cut edges, ensuring elevator cabins maintain a like-new appearance.
