Customer Background
The customer is a local small-to-medium-sized metal building materials processing plant in Azerbaijan, primarily engaged in the processing and sales of color-coated steel coils (PPGI/PPGL). The customer’s demand is stable.
A portion of the purchased color-coated steel coils is used for the customer’s own contracted construction projects (such as warehouses, factories, and roof structures); another portion is supplied to local building materials markets or wholesalers in the form of pre-formed corrugated sheets.
Communication Process
The customer inquired about the price of 0.5mm textured PPGI coils. While they were price-sensitive, they prioritized the durability and color consistency of the paint finish. Regarding color variation, we provided them with a comparison chart of previously produced RAL6005 colored steel coils against a color chart and guaranteed color consistency (completely adhering to the RAL color chart).
The customer also inquired about the substrate material, undecided between galvanized steel or galvalume steel. They wanted to protect their profits while ensuring their product quality met their expectations. We recommended galvanized steel, with a high-zinc coating. This ensured both profitability and a longer product lifespan.
This was their first purchase, and they weren’t completely confident in our company, so they placed a trial order for 28 tons.
