Why Wanzhi Steel
Azerbaijani buyers buy textured PPGI for more than roofing. They run it through roll-forming lines into corrugated sheets, cut it into rolling shutter slats, fabricate prefab cabins and container houses, and laminate it onto furniture and kitchen cabinet panels. Slitting Processing
We have our own slitting line that can cut 1250 mm coils into narrow strips, with the narrowest reaching 13-20 mm. Slitting can be completed in our own factory. Furthermore, if you require corrugated steel sheets, we can also roll PPGI mesh into corrugated sheets.
Galvanized steel substrate
We select high-quality galvanized steel substrates and have strict control over raw materials, strictly adhering to customer requirements for procurement. Our galvanized steel coils can be sourced from our own factory, which greatly improves our production efficiency.
Quality Control for Each Batch
We check the color against the RAL color chart on the production line, measure the thickness using a digital micrometer, and inspect the paint film thickness, width, length, and performance. We take photos of the production process and finished products for your records.

Corrugated Sheet Processor — Baku Area
This customer runs a processing plant near Baku that buys color-coated coil and resells it in several forms — some rolls go straight to local roofing contractors, some are slit into rolling shutter slats for a door manufacturer, and some are pressed into corrugated sheets that move through Baku’s building material markets. On first inquiry they asked about 0.5mm textured PPGI and were comparing prices from three Chinese suppliers. We sent them photos of our previous RAL6005 batches held next to the RAL color fan deck and recommended galvanized with 80g/m² zinc: better margin for a processor, and more than enough for inland Baku applications. They placed a 28-ton trial to test us first. After the first trial ran well, the same client came back for a serious order — 120 tons of RAL3005 wine red textured matte coil, 0.5×1250mm, DX51D, 610mm inner diameter, FOB Qingdao. The tricky part was not the material but the packaging: the distributor resells locally and asked for neutral packing with no Wanzhi Steel logo or factory stencil anywhere on the coil. We confirmed this with production and packaging before scheduling so there was no last-minute rework. We loaded 5×20ft containers at 24 tons each — deliberately under the 26-ton limit to leave a safety margin for the carrier. Production took 15 days. We flagged two QC points internally: color consistency across coils on a burgundy matte finish (this color bands easily), and a final check that no factory marking slipped onto the outer wrap. Baku Summer Heat (35–40°C)
A metal panel sitting in the Baku sun in July — whether it’s a roof, a rolling shutter on a shopfront, or a prefab cabin wall — can hit 60°C on the surface. A textured matte finish actually helps: it reflects more heat than a glossy surface, which keeps the paint from chalking too fast. For exterior-facing applications we use 20μm top coat with weather-resistant polyester. RAL6005 green and RAL8017 brown stay cooler than dark red on a hot facade.

Caspian Coastal Humidity
Baku is the windiest city in the region, and the Absheron peninsula carries salt-laden air off the Caspian. For any product within a few kilometres of the water — roof sheets, shutter slats, cabin cladding — we specify 80g/m² or higher zinc on the galvanized substrate, plus chromate-free passivation. The textured grain also hides minor scratches that would start rust on a smooth glossy panel.

Winter Snow and Thermal Cycling
In Guba, Gabala and the northern regions, temperatures swing from -10°C to +10°C over a single day in winter, and snow sits on exposed surfaces for three months. The paint has to flex with the steel as it contracts and expands — whether the panel is on a roof, a cabin wall, or a rolling shutter. Our standard 20/10μm PE coating passes reverse bend 2T tests and has held up on buildings across these regions. For inland projects we don’t push G90 — it adds cost without real benefit.

Shipping Route
From Qingdao to Baku→Standard terms are FOB or CIF, and EXW. Most Azerbaijani buyers arrange their own transport via the Central Corridor (TMR) – rail to Aktau, then ferry across the Caspian Sea to Baku.

Questions Azerbaijan Buyers Ask
Yes. We will email you the textured PPGI sheets in the specifications and colors you need, in A4 size. Delivery to Baku usually takes 5-7 days. Our first RAL6005 customer inspected the matte texture and color before ordering 28 tons of product this way.
We provide a commercial invoice, packing list, full bill of lading, and factory test certificate (MTC). For all orders, we will also attach a photo of the loaded product; the rest can be handled by your customs broker.
In Azerbaijan, textured matte finishes are generally more popular. Matte finishes effectively conceal scratches from transportation and installation, and they don’t leave fingerprints or glare on store shelves. Glossy finishes look more aesthetically pleasing on showroom shelves, but they reveal all handling marks. There are also more glossy finish options available, and the choice usually depends on the application scenario and the customer.
Standard: 30% T/T deposit, 70% balance against copy of Bill of Lading. For repeat clients with a track record, we can discuss 20% deposit / 80% balance.
