Angle Steel

  • Formula for equal-leg angles: Weight = (2 × Side Length × Thickness – Thickness²) × Density / 1000
  • Formula for unequal-leg angles: Weight = (Long Side + Short Side – Thickness) × Thickness × Density / 1000

  • Length is in meters (m);
  • Density is in grams per cubic centimeter (g/cm³); the default value for steel is 7.85; stainless steelis 7.93;
  • Thickness values must be less than the corresponding width/height values;
  • All values must be positive;
