They offer high load-bearing capacity and can withstand significant loads, but installation requires heavy machinery such as excavators and vibratory hammers.
  3. Extra-long steel sheet piles (over 12 meters): Used for permanent or temporary shoring in deep excavations, tunnel portals, and under special geological conditions. Longer lengths can be custom-made according to design requirements; installation is more challenging and requires specialized equipment and an experienced construction team.

When selecting the appropriate type, comprehensive consideration should be given to soil stability, groundwater conditions, bearing capacity requirements, and on-site construction conditions. A: Hot-rolled steel sheet piles are formed through continuous rolling at high temperatures, offering higher interlock strength, greater bending stiffness, and better watertightness. They are suitable for permanent structures and heavy-load environments. Cold-formed steel sheet piles are produced through roll-forming, resulting in lower production costs and flexible sizing options. They are suitable for temporary shoring and cost-effective projects.

Q4: How are steel sheet piles protected against corrosion?

A: Wanzhi Steel offers multiple corrosion protection solutions: bare steel surfaces can be coated with epoxy primer or polyurethane topcoat; for marine environments, hot-dip galvanizing (zinc coating ≥350 g/m²) is recommended, or weathering steel/seawater-resistant steel grades (such as ASTM A690) can be selected.
